Chat Problems?

I haven't been able to access the IRC for three days now! I've tried various clients and irc.dal.net isn't loading-- is this a local issue or is it happening to more than just me?

I had a problem where I was accidentally banned by DAL.net back when I first started going into the channel ... my IP got caught up in a slew of ones they were blocking for spam, so you might want to try logging in from another IP (like a mobile phone network - I was able to get in on my cell phone but not on my wifi) and if you can, send in a help ticket. It took them about 24-48 hours to get back to me and lift the ban.

Dal's been working fine for me and there have been other people around, so it's definitely a local problem. Are you getting any error messages?

I second the above anon's suggestions about trying a different login IP and putting in a help ticket. I'd also recommend doing a full virus scan on your regular machine, if you don't do those regularly; Dal automatically bans logins from machines that have have been infected by certain malware. That happened to me a while back - I got rid of the malware and after a few days could log into Dal again when the ban lapsed automatically.
